2 parts big selling genres like historical romance and urban paranormal mixed with 1 part cult-classic genre of steampunk; an all around win for me.Carriger's series is smart, funny, interesting, and original. She finds new spins on tired myths and created a smart and sassy lead female that ISN'T annoying for once. Alexia Tarabotti is a very feminine women as opposed to an annoying pseudo-ball breaking slut like leads in other unspeakable series of this one's ilk.
