Looks like a good book and I was encouraged by the writers within. When I got the book I saw the blurb on the cover:
"Restless, hormonal, and succinct..." - i-D Magazine
I'm not a crazy feminist and I have nothing against i-D Magazine (in fact, I don't think it's a real magazine at all!) but the hormonal thing got me. Really? Because it's an anthology of woman writers? There is no way an anthology by men would have been blurbed as such. Would it even get the male equivalent? I doubt it.
"Restless, pre-mature, and succinct..." - i-Fake Magazine?
I am so indignant.
Then I read the book and I thought "Shit, it would be better if it WERE hormonal."
